The Bolles Bulldogs improved to 3-1 on the season with a 57-49 win over First Coast Tuesday night. Anakin Brown led Bolles with 26 points, as the Bulldogs rebounded from a loss to Ponte Vedra Friday night. It’s been a good start to the season with some close victories for Bolles.
Bolles got their first win of the season defeating Yulee 60-55 in overtime. In that contest, Anakin Brown led the way with 29 points, while Pierce Shirk chipped in with 14 points. Brown has been on fire to start the season, and it started in the summer as the class of 2024 point guard impressed many at tournaments.i
Bolles got to 2-0 with another tough win, this time a 44-41 victory over Creekside. Anakin Brown led the way again with 12 points, Pierce Shirk scored 10 points, while Kaden Ferguson and Land Johnson both scored 8 points in the contest.
It’s been that type of team effort that has Bolles barking as loud as they’re biting the competition. Friday, they face Florida A&M University High School (0-6) , and 2-3 Leon (Tallahassee) looking to improve to 5-1 on the season. It could be a December to remember for the team as they head into the Christmas tournaments.
