Make Way For The New Top QBs In Northeast Florida For Week #5

Northeast Fl- Heading into week 5, we learned alot from “showdown Friday” that featured several top quarterbacks going against each other. In the end, not many impressed with lots of passing yards, but the top QBs who belong in the club this week, either put up great numbers, or got the job done for their team’s to win. Many are new to the club, as others made way for them by falling off.

#1. QB 2025 Tramell Jones Jr, 6’1, 185lbs, Florida State Commit <– Click to view player profile

Week 4 Home vs Atlantic Coast- 168 yards passing, and 2 passing TDs in short work against the Stingrays. Jones wasn’t asked to do much, and still tossed a touchdown in the firs tquarter and one in the fourth to cap the game. He remains atop the list as his team is undefeated.

Week 3 Away vs Riverside – We have a new number one quarterback atop the club. Tramell Jones Jr passed for 307 yards, 4 TDs, 1 Int on the road. Found his top receiver Jaime Ffrench Jr for 3 TDs. Jones is now tied for the most touchdown passes by a Northeast Florida Quarterback (9).

Week 2 Home vs Bolles- Passed for 183 yards, 3 TDS, 0 INTs, leading his team from 21-points behind for the win. Showed lot’s of poise and comeback ability in the game. This team is so confident, and that’s thanks to who is under center. (Last Week Rank #5)

Week # 1 Home vs Fletcher– Mandarin came out in a run-heavy offense with Jones on the bench. Even with his arm not initially being part of the game plan, Jones still passed for 257 yards and a TD.

#2. QB 2026 Edward Jordan- Beachside, 5’11, 180lbs

Week 4 Home vs Sebastian River- It’s time for everyone to recognize what Edward Jordan of Beachside is doing. Against Sebastian River last week, Jordan passed for 342 yards, 3 TDs, 1 Int. It is his second time passing for over 300 yards this season, and he’s eclipsed at least 200 yards passing in every game. A trusted source who attended one of his games told me “Mannnn!!! He’s Top 5 in the area easily!!!”.

Week 3 – We welcome a newcomer to the Quarteback club and he’s earned the right to be here. He is currently the #17 ranked passer in the state with 776 yards. He is tied for tops in Northeast Florida for TD passes (9) to only 3 interceptions. Against Menendez, Edward Jordan passed for 3 touchdowns, his third consecutive game with the hat trick (including 3 TDS vs Tocoi week 1).

#3. QB 2025 Cibastian Broughton-Fleming Island, 6’0, 170lbs, (3-Star QB)

Cibastian Broughton

Week 4 Away vs Oakleaf- Broughton brought with him spectacular plays courtesy of his arm and especially his legs. He passed for 180 yds 1 TD and rushed for 92 yards in the loss. A Duval Sports coorespondent at the game is quoted in saying, “Broughton reminds me of Jordan Travis”. High praise for the junior, who deserved to move higher on the list this week.

Week 3 BYE– Broughton moves up in the rankings although he did not have a game last week. He’s been consistent against inconsistent teams. A true test lies this week against rival Oakleaf.

Week 2 Away vs NFEI- “Worm” as they affectionately call Ciabstian Broughton, accounted for 161 total yards and 3 total TDs versus overmatched NFEI. Enough to keep him in the club, but not enough to move up. (Last Week Rank #6)

Week 1 Home vs Clay– Broughton brought the touchdown arm into week 1 versus Clay tossing 5 touchdowns. He finished the the game with 183yds connecting with 4 different receivers.

#4. 2025 QB Locklan Hewlett, 6’1, 175lbs, St. Augustine, Wake Forest Commit <– Click to view player profile

Week 4 Home vs Menendez– Hewlett did not play versus Menendez although his team did not need him. There is a possible concern that he was resting his shoulder. However, we are confident that Locklan is resting up for rival Bartram Trail this week.

Week 3 Away vs Brunswick- Went on the road to Brunswick, Georgia and passed for 366 yards 2 TDs and 1 Int. Big passing numbers again for Hewlett, as he remains one of the top passers in Florida. His 371 passing yards per game is 1st in NE Florida, and 3rd in the state.

Week 2 BYE– The only quarterback worthy of passing Hewlett in week 2 was Tramell Jones of Mandarin. But if you compare their numbers against the same opponent (Bolles) Hewlett’s was more impressive.(Last Week Rank #1)

Week 1 Away vs Bolles – Hewlett passed for 376 yds, and 4 touchdowns, 0 ints. Tossed the game winning touchdown pass to Myles Simmons with just seconds left in the game. Clutch gene was shown in performance as he led his team from behind in a 22 point 4th quarter.

#5. 2024 QB Brandon Wallace Jr, 6’0, 185lbs

Week 4 Home versus Fleming Island- Wallace is making a big jump this week, and it’s truly deserved. He led Oakleaf over Fleming Island, scoring a touchdown on the ground and another through the air. He combined for 149 total yards of offense in a game that saw the Knights pound the rock with running backs.

Week 3 Bye– Two weeks off can either make for good rest or good rust. We’ll see with his showdown against Clay county rival Fleming Island tonight.

Week 2– Rescheduled

Week 1 Home vs Orange Park- Wallace had an incredible first week against Orange Park accounting for 5 total TDs. He passed for 162yds, with 3 passing TDs. He also had 2 rushing TDs. The QB field was crowded last week, however Wallace’s performance was to good to keep out of the club in week 2. Watch out as the senior makes plays out in Oakleaf. (Last Week Unranked)

#6.  QB 2024 Rodney Tisdale Jr– First Coast, 6’2.5, 173lbs Western Kentucky Commit<– Click to view player profile

Week 4 Home versus Riverside- Quite possibly the best performance stat wise in week 4 came from Rodney Tisdale Jr. The senior passed for 277 yards 3 TDs and 0 Ints versus Riverside. Yet, the Generals picked up the win and the Bucs fell to 0-3. Look for Tisdale to tear it up next week against a winless Westside and put up some big quarterback numbers.

Week 3 Bye– Although he was on a bye, Tisdale still ranks 29th in the state in passing yards (706yds) with 6 TDs and 4 Ints.

Week 2 Home vs Williston- Passing: 321yds, 3 TDs, 2 Ints, Big passing yards and multiple TDs again for Tisdale. But another loss for the team as a whole. Tisdale will have to show that his passing yards aren’t just from playing from behind in games. (Last Week Rank #4)

Week 1 Away vs Bishop Kenny- Tisdale scored all 3 touchdowns for First Coast and all 3 were touchdown passes. A screen pass of 40yds, a corner fade on the run for 20yds, and a 80yd pass on the run while evading pressure. Very Impressive!

#7. 2024 QB DJ Moore Jr- Bolles, 6’0, 155lbs<—- Click to see player profile

Week 4 Home versus Trinity- DJ Moore returns to the club after the loss to Brunswick in emphatic fashion. Moore led his team to an upset victory over Trinity Christian. Bolles was winless and down in the fourth quarter when Moore took matters into his own hands and ran it in for the eventual game winning touchdown. He finished with 126 passing yards, and 37 rushing yards with 2 TDs on the ground.

Week 2 Away vs Mandarin- Passed for 182 yds, 4 TDs, 1 Int also rushed for 50yds. Moore makes his first appearance in the QB Club. Even with 2 losses, he’s played very well in both tough contests. (Last Week Unranked)

Week 1 Home vs St. Augustine- Passing 123yds, 2 TDs, 1 Int; loss

#8. QB 2024 Ben Burke-Ponte Vedra, 5’11, 180lbs

Ben Burke

Week 4 Home vs Middleburg- Ben Burke returns to the quarterback club after a 185 yard and 5 passing touchdown performance against the Broncos.

Week #2 Away vs FSU- Passing 219yds, 1 TD, 2 INTs. Ponte Vedra is a good team, and their quarterback is keeping them in games. Despite the turnovers, Burke made plays when it counted executing a 2-minute drill to win the game against a very good FSU team. Back to back 200 yard passing games. (Last Week Unranked)

Week #1 Home vs Bartram- Passing for 205yds, 2 TDs, 0 Int in a loss

#9.  QB 2024 Colin Hurley, 6’2, 215lbs, Trinity Christian (LSU Commit) <– Click to view player profile

Week 4 Away vs Bolles- Hurley passed for an impressive 211 yards and 1 TD versus Bolles. However he dissappointed by tossing 2 interceptions in the game. Including one on a potential game winning drive with 30 seconds left in the game.

Week 3 Home vs NFEI- Hurley rebounded as expected from last week by tossing 4 TDs, 0 Ints, while passing for 217 yards versus NFEI. He now has 8 TD passes on the season tied for second in NE Florida. This week is where we get a great measure for him, as Trinity faces Bolles a common opponent with Hewlett (St. Augustine) and Jones (Mandarin).

Week 2 Away vs American Heritage- No quarterback from Trinity has gone to Plantation Florida and put up good numbers. This includes Hurley (60yds, 1 TD, 1 Int). But when speaking of the QB club, no quarterback in NE Florida faced a team as good as Heritage in week 2. (Last Week Rank #3)

Week 1 Home vs Ed White– Colin Hurley led the Conquerors over the Commanders tossing 3 TDs, with 1 Int and eclipsing the 200 yard passing mark. Ed White’s defense is extremely tough, so these are impressive numbers for the elite QB.

#10 * 2025 QB Glenn Foreman III- Riverside; 6’2, 175lbs

Week 4 Away vs First Coast- A QB who makes his first entry into the club is Glenn Foreman III. Foreman came over to Riverside from Bishop Snyder this year, bringing with him a big arm and a beautiful spiral. He’s one of the most naturally gifted throwers of the football in the area. He led Riverside over First Coast passing for 110 yards and 2 TDs
