Fleming Island Fl- -Fleming Island came into Friday night’s matchup with Ridgeview looking to rebound from a loss to Oakleaf and continue its strong start to the 2026 football season by getting to .500. The Golden Eagles had already shown they could make plays on offense and control games with their defense, so Homecoming seemed like the perfect time to get back on track.
Ridgeview, meanwhile, entered the contest at 1-1 looking to slow down Fleming Island’s attack, and make a statement against one of Clay County’s top programs. Before both teams took the field, Fleming Island High School acknowledged First Responders in honor of all the victims affected by the September 11th attacks.

Digman Starts the Show
The Golden Eagles wasted no time setting the tone. Quarterback Greyson Critch guided his team down the field making good decision to protect the football. Runningback Brady Digman opened the game with a big run that helped Fleming Island move the ball down the field. The drive ended with Digman finding the end zone for the first touchdown of the night.

The extra point was no good, but Fleming Island had an early 6-0 lead with 8:45 remaining in the first quarter.
Ridgeview struggled to find its footing as the Golden Eagles continued to pressure the Tigers on both sides of the ball.
Special teams made an impact when Colbe Donaldson came up with a huge play, blocking a Ridgeview punt. The block gave Fleming Island excellent field position and helped keep the momentum firmly on the Golden Eagles’ side.

Longmire Takes Over
Zion Longmire was one of the biggest stars of the night.
With 5:30 left in the first quarter, Longmire scored his first touchdown of the game. The PAT was good, extending Fleming Island’s lead to 13-0.
Longmire was not finished.
At the 2:03 mark of the opening quarter, he found the end zone again, putting the Golden Eagles ahead 20-0. His two-touchdown performance helped Fleming Island take control early and left Ridgeview searching for answers.

The Golden Eagles continued to attack with confidence. After another touchdown by Digman, Fleming Island added a successful two-point conversion when Greyson Critch connected with Ryan Siliac.
That play pushed the score to 28-0 and gave the Golden Eagles a commanding advantage.
Defense and Special Teams Finish Strong
While Fleming Island’s offense continued to produce, the defense made sure Ridgeview could not get back into the game.
The Golden Eagles kept the Tigers off the scoreboard throughout the contest, turning a fast start into a complete team victory.
Fleming Island added a field goal in the third quarter to extend its lead to 31-0.
The Golden Eagles continued to pour it on in the fourth quarter.
With 11:49 remaining, Ryan Siliac scored on a sweep to the right side, giving Fleming Island another touchdown and pushing the score to 37-0.
The final score of the night came from the special teams unit. Michael Nesmith returned a punt for a touchdown, closing out the scoring and giving Fleming Island a 46-0 victory.
The Golden Eagles’ victory was more than just an offensive showcase. Fleming Island scored in multiple ways and made big plays on special teams, while the defense delivered a shutout.Digman and Longmire provided the early offensive spark.
