Everbank Field- The Normandy Cowboys have enjoyed alot of success this year on the football field. The division two park’s pee wee team won the city championship against Arlington. Their junior pee wee team will play for the city championship next week. And the junior midget team gained the number one seed by going undefeated  in their division, 6-1 overall. The park’s overall success would hinge on the Junior Midget’s game versus Arlington in the Championship game. Arlington gained a visit to the championship by having the second best division record in division II. They were looking to get a second shot at Normandy to change the outcome of an earlier season loss. At first it seemed like they would do so.

Arlington came out of the tunnel hype and ready to play their best. Normandy started the game aggressive and took the opening kickoff 25 yards around the left side to begin their first drive near mid field. But the Seminoles weren’t fazed as they forced the Cowboys to punt. Normandy would also stiffen their defense as Arlington’s offensive possession stalled near mid field . The game would feature little to no big offensive plays in the beginning until Normandy started to go to the air. The Cowboys would get on the board first with a touchdown pass to #6 Uriel Richardson to go up 7-0. It would remain 7-0 to end the half.

In the second half the defense continued to capitalize on the weak offensive fronts. The offensive lines could not create creases for the runningbacks to commit to. Finally in the fourth quarter Arlington began to move the ball. They were able to push the ball deep into Cowboy territory, but an interception by #7 Philpot ended the Seminole’s drive.

Normanday’s #23 Thompson would end Arlington’s season with a spectacular run that started to the right side at his own 10 yard line, then resumed backwards toward his own endzone weaving through several defenders. Thompson would amazingly turn on the afterburners and take it to anothergear racing 90 yards down the left sideline to score the walk off touchdown. Final: Normandy-13 Arlington-0
