The Sandalwood Saints defeated the Bolles Bulldogs 3-2 Tuesday night at Saints Park. Sandalwood took advantage of costly eras by Bolles including a mishandled grounder to second which brought in Hunter McKibben for the game’s first run. Caleb Davis of the Saints drove in the run. Bolles managed to overcome the mistakes and make it a contest, but the Saints held them off in the final inning. Sandalwood rebounds well after a disappointing loss in the Gateway Conference Championship. They’re a good team with a level-headed approach to the game. It should take them far in the district games. They’ll face non conference foe University Christian next.  At 18-6 , this season the Bulldogs bite has usually been harder than their bark, yet it wasn’t this night. Bolles will look to rebound against their next opponent Mandarin.
