#1. St. Augustine (2-0)

The Jackets came off a bye and went up to Georgia and beat the bullies of Brunswick 45-35 on Saturday. After defeating Spruce Creek 47-0, and then upsetting Bolles 43-36, this team has shown that they are not only the best in Northeast, Florida but their the best in Southeast Georgia as well. Quarterback Locklan Hewlett has passed for 366 yards and 2 TDs. While DEvonte Lyons rushed for 129 yards and 1 TD. On defense, Marcquice King had 2 interceptions shutting down Georgia on Saturday.

Next up: Home vs Menendez (1-2)

 #2. Bradford (3-0)

The Tornadoes went on the road defeating Middleburg 32-7. The week before that, they beat Baldwin 40-6. They are not just beating teams, they are sending messages to other teams on the schedule. They still have the best defense in Northeast Florida, holding as four Tornadoes had sacks against a very good Middleburg offensive line. On offense, 9 players touched the ball combining for 304 total yards.

Next Up: Home vs Eastside (Gainesville 2-1)

#3. Mandarin (3-0)

The Mustangs are undefeated on the season after defeating Riverside 50-20. Mandarin caught fire after a slow start. As Tramell Jones tossed 4 TD passes and Jaime Ffrench caught 3 TD passes. Deshard Westcott ran for 126yds and a TD. After their 21-point comeback win over Bolles, Mandari nfalls i nthe rankings because they must learn how to start faster and keep the pedal to the metal or else a team may gain confidence staying in contests. Theey definately dont want the rival Stingrays to be that team in their showdown tonight.

Next Up: Home vs Atlantic Coast (3-0)

#4. Raines (2-0)

The Vikings were on a bye in week 2 after defeating University Christian 27-12 in week 1. Week 3 they came out and dominated Sandalwood at home 26-7. The Vikings can put the entire state on notice wit hat win at Mainland this week. Bartram Trail was close last week, so the Vikings since vulnerability from the undefeated Bucs. It’s an undefeated showdown tonight in Daytona.

#5. Trinity (2-1)

It was a tough defeat in Plantation Florida two weeks ago, as the Conquerors fell to American Heritage 27-14. They rebounded as expected from that week by defeatign NFEI 43-0. Colin Hurley tossed 4 TDs, 0 Ints, while passing for 217 yards. This week is where we get a great measure for him and the team, as Trinity faces Bolles, a common opponent with Hewlett (St. Augustine) and Jones (Mandarin).

#6. Oakleaf (1-0)

Quarterback Brandon Wallace Jr had an incredible first week against Orange Park accounting for 5 total TDs. However, two weeks off can either make for good rest or good rust for a team. We’ll see what happends with this showdown against Clay county rival Fleming Island tonight. They’re first real test.

#7. Fleming Island (2-0)

Fleming Island and quarterback Cibstian Broughton move into the power rankings this week although they did not have a game last week. He and the Golden Eagles have been consistent against inconsistent teams. Defeating NFEI and Clay by a combined score of 82-26. A true test lies this tonight against rival Oakleaf.

#8. Ponte Vedra (1-1)

Ponte Vedra got a much needed rest on their bye week after a big victory on the road last week agaisnt FSU High 23-22. They played Bartram Trail close in their opener in a 20-17 loss. They have a tough and hungry Middleburg team coming to the beach tonight.

#9. Bishop Kenny (2-0)

Coming off the bye week, Bishop Kenny struggled to put points on a team that surrenderd 35-points to Beachside. Still, they got the “W” 23-20 on a late touchdown pass by James Resar, and that’s all that matters. However, with power rankings it does matter, as this list is the best of the best where every team wins. Style points matter, and Kenny will get a chance to accumilate some impressive stats against a 0-3 Bishop Moore team this week.

#10. Atlantic Coast (3-0)

Atlantic Coast is 3-0 and not many people expected a 3-0 Stingray team preparign to face 3-0 Mndarin. This game is going to be packed with students eagerly anticipating a good ole fashioned rivalry and showdown. For Step Durham, he hopes his team will give them just that against the mighty Mustangs.

Outside looking in:

University Christian (2-1), Ed White (2-1), Ribault (2-1), Yulee (2-1), Creekside (1-2)
