
Jacksonville Fl- Fresh off a district championship in 2024, Ed White head coach Lawrence Johnson has an extremely talented roster returning for a chance to repeat as District champions. Losing players like Josh Patterson to Iowa state, as well as Javon Johnson (St. Thomas University), Joshua Macklin (St. Thomas University), and Landon Francis (LaGrange University) will be tough, but the returning starters are playoff experienced and extremely athletic in areas not seen in several years.

(2026) Julian Holt (DB)- At 6’2, 190lb, safety Julian Holt, is a long and athletic athletic who makes plays on the ball. He is the younger cousin of Josh Patterson, Devaughn Patterson, and Jaison Patterson , all D-1 athletes who played at White. Holt continues the bloodline and coaches say he has created a physical presence in the secondary.

(2026) Nick Roberson (WR)– A 6’2, 200lbs athlete with size and great hands. Roberson tallied 40 receptions, for 622 yards and 4 TDs in 2024

(2027) Jacquari Parks (DB)-Jacquari Parks has created a no fly zone all Spring. He has done an excellent job in coverage. The 6’1, 175 lbs lock down is a 3-star recruit with several offers.

(2027) King Boylston (QB)– Quarterback King Boylston led his team to a district championship as a freshman last year. He passed for 2046 yards, 13 TDs. He also ran for 215yds and 3 TDs. He returns with more size, and more experience as the sky is the limit for one of the best up and coming quarterbacks in the state.. He is the younger brother of Kyle Boylston (FAU).

(2027) Mark Shiloh (Edge)- Mark Shiloh, can cause havoc in the backfield, and recorded 3 TFLs against Orange Park in Ed White’s spring game. He’s 6’4, 245lbs and more offers are on the way as his stock continues to rise if he continues to work hard.

Along with returning leading passer (2027) King Boylston, Ed White returns their top 2 leading rushers from last season (2028) Rontrez Loyd and (2026) Joseph Williams. They also return 3 starters on the O-line led by (2026) Kenneth Bethea, (2026) Glenn Hayes, and (2028) John Rankin.

Ed White uses their fullback optimally, and (2026) Marion Laguerre was third on the team in receiving last season, and one of the best Fullbacks in Northeast Florida with 402 total yards, and 3 touchdowns.
Other names to watch this season on offense is (2028) WR – King Mercer. He led the team in receiving yards in the Spring game against Orange Park with 5 catches for 87 yards.

(2028) ATH – David Hunter has been dynamic at WR, and QB. He’s a very good athlete who will make a lot of plays for Johnson’s offense as a triple threat
(2027) OL – Marquice Beals has gotten bigger and stronger during the offseason, and has done great all Spring. He, helped pave the way for a 400 plus yard rushing performance in the Spring game against Orange Park.
(2027) RB – Khaleb Mitchell has made plays for the Commanders all Spring and will be a big part of the offense.

Other Notable Defensive Players:
(2027) DL – Johnny Duckett is very versatile on the defensive line, can play both inside and outside, and was one of the most productive defensive players returning on defense.
(2026) Nickel – Davonte Mango is a returning starter who made a lot of big plays for Ed White last year. Coaches say that he’s having a really good Spring.
(2026) LB – Josiah Smith is a very physical LB who started most games last season. He can drop into coverage, blow up the run, and rush the passer.
(2026) CB – Demetrea Lamar has stepped into a starting role this Spring and has played really well. He is the biggest standout as far as first time starters on defense.
