Sharif Denson

A technician at the position, Sharif Denson has impressed college recruiters and coaches for several years with his attention to detail and effortless fluidity. The way he changes direction, and reacts to the receiver or football is unmatched in the area. The talented defensive back has shown his unique talent at the position in several games. He finished his senior season with 34 tackles, 1 interception, and 1 fumble recovery.

Denson started for Bartram all four years helping lead them to the playoffs each year. Routinely taking on the top wide receiver for opposing teams, Denson played a major role in several areas including as the team’s kick returner. He was a Duval Sports Middle School Top 50, receiving his first D1 offer before hitting high school. He’s a Florida Times-Union All-First Coast selection as a junior and a Super 11 selection in 2022.

Ranked as the No. 18 cornerback and No. 113 overall player in the nation by Rivals … Invited to play in the 2023 Under Armour All-American game … Listed in the ESPN Top-300 … Named to the 2021 Florida Times-Union All-First Coast team and an honorable mention in 2020 … 

He was the Duval Sports #1 ranked defensive back in Northeast Florida, heading in the 2022 season. Signed with Florida.

At Florida

2023: Played in all 12 games in both special teams and reserve defensive back… Finished with seven tackles, 0.5 tackles-for-loss and a quarterback hurry.

2024: Appeared in 12 games while making six starts and totaled 37 tackles (22 solo), 2.0 sacks, 5.0 tackles for loss, one interception, one forced fumble, two pass breakups and one QB hurry

2025: Started at DB in 11 games, playing in all 12. Posted 53 tackles (39 solo), two TFLs, a pass breakup and four hurries across the 2025 campaign. 

Transferred to Ole Miss in 2026. As Florida’s most dependable defender, Denson brings a wealth of starter experience and versatility to an Ole Miss secondary that will allow him to make plays all over the field.
